Payment & Refunds Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2025
1. Overview
This Payment & Refunds Policy explains how payments, subscriptions, and refunds work on Kampunity. By making a purchase, you agree to this Policy in addition to our Terms of Service.
2. Payment Processing
- Payment provider. We use Stripe to process one‑time payments and recurring subscriptions. Stripe handles payment card data; we do not store credit or debit card numbers. You may be required to enter valid payment information at checkout; payment is subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policy. Payments may include taxes such as VAT or sales tax when applicable.
- Currencies and fees. Prices are shown in the currency selected by the Creator or determined by your region. Kampunity charges a platform fee or commission deducted from payouts to creators. You agree to pay the displayed price plus any applicable taxes and fees.
- Invoices and receipts. After payment, you will receive a receipt via email from Stripe. If you need a formal invoice, contact us or the Creator directly.
- Fraud prevention. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if fraud or unauthorised activity is suspected.
3. Subscriptions
- Recurring charges. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval specified (e.g., monthly, yearly). The renewal date and amount will be displayed during checkout.
- Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund previous charges unless required by law.
- Price changes. Creators may change subscription prices. You will be notified prior to renewal of any price change and may cancel if you do not accept the new price.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may retry; if unsuccessful, we may suspend or cancel your subscription until payment is made.
4. Refunds
Kampunity acts as a marketplace facilitator; Creators set their own refund policies consistent with applicable law. Our platform‑wide guidelines are:
- Digital content refunds. Digital products (Trails, memberships, access to Camps) are generally non‑refundable once accessed, downloaded or streamed, except as required by law. You may be entitled to a refund if you purchased but have not accessed the digital content and the Creator's policy allows it.
- EU cooling‑off period. Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, consumers have a 14‑day cooling‑off period to withdraw from a digital service contract and receive a refund, provided performance has not begun. The right to withdraw is lost once the digital content has been delivered with your express consent. Faulty digital services may entitle you to a remedy within two years.
- Other jurisdiction rights. Consumer protection laws vary by jurisdiction. Some U.S. states or countries may provide additional rights to refunds or returns. Where required, we will comply with applicable consumer protection laws.
- No general refunds. Unless required by law or by the Creator's stated policy, subscription fees and one‑time payments are non‑refundable. Creators may, at their discretion, issue goodwill refunds or credits.
- Dispute resolution. If you believe a Creator has failed to deliver the promised content or wish to request a refund, you should first contact the Creator through Kampunity's messaging system. If you cannot resolve the issue, contact Kampunity support with details. We may mediate disputes but do not guarantee a particular outcome. We may withhold funds from a Creator's payout pending resolution.
5. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback through your payment provider without first contacting Kampunity or the Creator, we may temporarily suspend your account. Creators may provide evidence to Stripe to contest the chargeback. If the chargeback is resolved in the Creator's favour, your account may be reinstated. Repeated chargebacks may result in termination of your account.
6. Payouts to Creators
- Stripe account. Creators must create and maintain an active Stripe account to receive payouts. Payout schedules are subject to Stripe's processes and may vary depending on the Creator's country and business type.
- Commission. Kampunity deducts a commission from each transaction before remitting the remainder to Creators. The commission rate will be disclosed in the Creator dashboard.
- Holds and reserves. We may place a reserve on Creator payouts to mitigate risks such as refunds or chargebacks. We may also withhold payouts if we suspect fraud or legal violations.
- Taxes. Creators are solely responsible for reporting and paying taxes on their earnings. Kampunity may withhold and remit taxes where required (e.g., EU VAT rules or U.S. marketplace facilitator laws) and will provide relevant documentation.
